Dr. Christine Walko Leahy
Dr. Christine Walko Leahy (co-owner of the practice with Dr. Christine DiSalvo-Ost) graduated from Governors State University and received a B.A. in psychology with Honors. She later obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. Dr. Christine Walko Leahy diagnoses and treats eye diseases and co-manages cataract and LASIK patients. She fits standard and specialty contact lenses in addition to addressing primary eye care needs. She is board certified by the American Board of Optometry and is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Illinois Optometric Association. Dr. Walko Leahy has a special personal interest in nutrition, health and fitness.
Dr. Christine DiSalvo-Ost
Dr. Christine DiSalvo-Ost has a long history with the practice and is proud to be co-owner with Dr. Christine Walko Leahy. Dr. DiSalvo-Ost attended Mother McAuley High School, then graduated magna cum laude from Loyola University with a Bachelors of Science degree. She went on to graduate cum laude from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1988. In addition to primary eye care, she has a special interest in contact lens fitting and children’s vision problems. Dr. DiSalvo-Ost is board certified by the American Board of Optometry, and she is a member of the American Optometric Association, Illinois Optometric Association, and Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. When not in the office, she is usually spending time with her three children.
Dr. Michael Leahy
Dr. Michael Leahy grew up in Oak Lawn and attended Brother Rice High School and the University of Michigan as an Evans Scholar. He taught elementary and high school science for six years before attending the Illinois College of Optometry, graduating cum laude in 1981. Since then he has been practicing all aspects of family optometry. Dr. Leahy enjoys primary eye care, treatment of eye disease, and contact lens fitting. He has participated in several contact lens studies with Ciba Vision and Ocular Sciences. Dr. Leahy is board certified through the American Board of Optometry and a member of the American Optometric Association, Illinois Optometric Association, Tomb and Key Honor Society, and Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society.
Dr. Jennifer Redmond
Dr. Jennifer Redmond graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2009 from Dominican University in River Forest, IL. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree Magna Cum Laude from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2013. Dr. Redmond then completed a primary care residency at the William V. Chappell, Jr. Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic in Daytona Beach, Florida. During her residency, she worked with retina and cornea specialists as well as with general ophthalmology. Dr. Redmond has a special interest in ocular disease and contact lenses. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Illinois Optometric Association, Beta Sigma Kappa Honorary Society and Tomb and Key Honorary society. In her free time, Dr. Redmond enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
